***All orders must be placed/booked a minimum of 3 weeks in advance of due/event date. Any orders after 3 weeks of due date will be considered a rush order ***
When inquiring about a price quote or a custom order, please provide us with as much information as possible (flavor(s), guest count, size of cake, date and time needed, colors, names, ages, any writing, photos, theme, inside or outside event etc.).
If you have any pictures of what you would like, please include those but keep in mind that we do not replicate other people’s work. We can use it as a general guide when decorating your desserts.
Please note that creating your order always requires a lot of details and information to avoid any possible errors.

Due to the influx of orders Measured Design Studio is receiving, we require you place your order 3 weeks prior to due date. If orders are not placed 3 weeks before due date it will be considered a rush order and will require an additional charge. Measured Design Studio has all rights to reject any orders that are not scheduled 3 weeks prior to event due date. All rush orders require full payment. (See refund policy)

We understand that life happens and sometimes things to need to change with your order. We will always try to be as accommodating as possible.
Any changes to your order must be 2 week prior to order due date. Changes must be within in reason. No changes can be made to your order after 2 weeks of due date.
You have 2 weeks before your order is due to cancel without charge. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee if insufficient time is given, as stated above, due to costs incurred in the purchase and preparation.

*PLEASE NOTE: All of our cakes and cupcakes are stored in a cooler at the bakery. They will be cold when you pick them up, as this allows for better and safer transport. We recommend you also store them in your refrigerator until about 1 hour prior to serving.*
Keep in mind that cakes are very fragile and damages can happen if not handled properly – such as cracks, smudges, melted frosting, etc.
Please drive carefully, keep cake lying flat in car, and keep in a cool climate
Summers can get extremely humid and hot; both being very hard on cake and icing. We keep all orders refrigerated, and recommend that clients do the same, especially during hot summer months. This will keep the cake cool, and makes it much easier to transport without damage. Sitting it out at room temperature for 30 minutes will soften the icing back up.
DO NOT leave cake sitting outside for any length of time, even for a party. It will melt, and can melt in less than 15 minutes in higher temperatures.
DO NOT PLACE YOUR CAKE IN THE CAR SEAT! It is NOT level or flat! Doing so will cause the cake to slide and be damaged.
Do NOT leave your cake in the car while running into the store for balloons or other items, even if it is only 50 degrees outside! If the sun is out, the interior of your car is likely much warmer than that, and the cake will melt! Please drop your cake off an store in refrigerator immediately.
Do NOT place your cake on the counter near your stove, and then use the stove to cook food! Although keeping many types of cakes at room temperature is perfectly okay, the heat and/or moisture from the stove will cause the "room" temperature to rise and the cake/frosting to melt and fall apart!
Do NOT place in a "sun-lit" area. Even when left on a table, or counter, in a climate-cooled room. If sitting in direct sunlight from a window, a cake will get too warm and melt over time.

All products are the responsibility of the customer once it leaves our shop or delivered to the customer. Measured Design studio is not responsible for any damages that occur after pick-up/delivery.
Measured Design Studio is not responsible for any injuries that may occur due to failure to remove the necessary supports within the cake. The client assumes full responsibility arranging for the caterer/servers to cut, serve, and remove all existing supports inside of the cake.
Measured Design Studio is not responsible for any damage the product may suffer due to the environmental conditions in which the cake or desserts are stored or displayed (location, temperature, weather, etc). An extended period without refrigeration will deteriorate the cake as well as the decorations.
We do not provide cake repairs or changes to the cake once the order is complete, picked-up, or delivered.

All orders/sale are final. All orders are carefully documented on behalf of Measured Design Studio to ensure that your order was fulfilled correctly.

All rush orders require full payment. If the order is cancelled within the same week that you ordered, you can receive 50% refund. If order is canceled 10 days or less prior to order due date you will not be refunded.
Once all orders to pick-up or delivered they are considered “accepted” and no-refund requests will follow. If a client finds there is a quality or issue with their order they must return the order within the same time frame of the issue for proper inspection. If Measured Design Studio deems there is an issue with the clients order they will receive 25% store credit refund of their order. In order to receive the refund the cake must stay with Measured Design Studio.
Once you or a designated party has picked up an order and left the premise, it is considered "accepted" – we will ask to make sure that everything is correct such as the design, spelling, etc. Refunds requested due to decorating style, writing, color shade, or general design will not be honored.
All products are the responsibility of the customer once it leaves our shop. We are not responsible for any damage occurring to the cake during transport, set-up or any time thereafter. Cake flavor and texture is subjective. Any refund requested due to flavor or texture after the cake has been accepted and picked up will not be honored.
Any orders that are not picked up on their scheduled day will NOT be refunded.
We take our obligation to provide your cake very seriously. However, should an unforeseeable event occur that prevents us from fulfilling our obligation and forces us to cancel our agreement with you, we will refund your payment in full. If cancellation of the order on our behalf is short notice we will provide you with store credit for your next purchase.

By providing Measured Design Studio with your email address and phone number, you agree to give us permission to contact you via those methods. Messaging rates may apply and are not the responsibility of Measured Design Studio. If you choose not to be contacted by one or more of those methods, please notify us.
We reserve the right to take and use our own photos of your cake(s) to use for marketing and promotional purposes without compensation to you. We may also request photographs from your photographer for the same purpose. All pictures that we are tagged in or posted to our social media accounts are subject to the same terms.
If any customer becomes disrespectful, irate, disruptive, or violent, Measured Design Studio reserves the right to refuse service and to make them to leave the premises. Cursing and yelling at employees is not tolerated in person or by phone. If any of the aforementioned occurs, Measured Design Studio revokes the right to be of service to said customer and anyone in their party. If felt necessary, Measured Design Studio will call the police to escort said customer from our premises.
Measured Design Studio shall not discriminate against customers or employees on the basis of race, sexuality, religion, national origin, color, or sex.
